TAV Airports Holding has raised

its operations profit by 35%

In the first six month period of 2009--in spite of difficult macro economic conditions--TAV Airports Holding has achieved a pre-tax profit of TL 13.4 million (Euro 6 million). The company has declared a post-tax loss of TL 5.3 million (Euro 2.5 million), while its loss for the same period last year was of TL 31.7 million (Euro 16.9 million).

Thanks especially to an increase in income from Havaþ and BTA in comparison to the same period of last year, TAV Airports Holding has succeeded in achieving a 12% increase in turnovers during the first six months. Similarly, the company has raised its operatioing profit by 35%.

TAV Airports Holding CEO M. Sani Þener said: “The increase of 12% in consolidated turnovers on a TL basis and of 35% in operatioing profit in comparison to the same period last year--and the fact that this happened at a time when an investment of approximately Euro 200 million was made and the number of average employees increased by 7%, reaching 11,775--is a result of the company’s endurance of crises and of management’s and staff’s focus on efficiency.”
