The TAV Sports Club, which aims to bring together all employees of the TAV Group--that is to say, of TAV Airports Holding affiliates and of TAV Construction--in a different social environment, developing social interaction outside working life, has launched the first TAV Cup activity in the field of football. Organized in order to select the TAV Group’s 2009 Football Champion, the Tournament will be held separately in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. 16 teams from TAV Istanbul participated in the Istanbul leg of the Football Tournament and four groups were selected for match play.
The 1st and 2nd qualifiers of each group will play in the semi finals.
In the matches, to be presided over by referees from the Referee Committee of the Turkish Federation of Football, the first three qualifiers will be awarded gifts and two “Top Goal Scorers” will be elected at the end of the Tournament. The team that will qualify as 1st at the end of matches held in Istanbul will play against the winners of matches held at TAV Ankara and TAV Izmir and the TAV 2009 Football Champion will thus be crowned champion.
