TAV Airports has not only maintained the top position it achieved in the ISE (Istanbul Stock Exchange Market) Corporate Governance Index last year, but also managed to raise its corporate governance rating grade
ISS Corporate Services (ICS), one of the world’s most respectable independent corporate ratings organizations, raised TAV Airport’s governance rating grade to 9.09, which is currently the highest level in Turkey. With this score, TAV Airports Holding maintained the leading position it attained last year in the Istanbul Stock Exchange Market Corporate Governance Index.
Appraising this result as a direct consequence of the adoption of the corporate governance principles at TAV Airports CEO M. Sani Sener emphasized that all TAV Airports companies have assimilated these principles as a whole. Sener said that this subject is now understood more clearly in Turkey and worldwide: “Effective corporate governance policy enables the management to make healthier decisions by narrowing risks. The presence of nearly 30 companies on the Index, in which TAV Airports successfully defended its top position this year, shows the importance attached to this subject.”
