EXPOSITION PHOTOGRAPHIQUE « CETTE VILLE ISTANBUL »

Une compilation de photographies d’Istanbul prise par le photographe Tahsin Aydogmus et sélectionnée à partir du livre « Cette ville Istanbul » est présentée par Shell et Turcas dans une exposition qui se tiendra à la Galerie TAV dans le Terminal international de l’aéroport Atatürk d’Istanbul.

Une sélection de photographies issues du livre « Cette ville Istanbul », dont 105 photographies uniques d’Istanbul vue de l’œil de Tahsin Aydogmus, a été exposée à la Galerie TAV. La cérémonie d’ouverture a été suivie par le Maire adjoint d’Istanbul et des autorités locales Ahmet Aydin, le PDG des aéroports TAV, Mr. Sani Sener, le membre du conseil de Shell et Turcas Petrol Inc. Yilmaz Tecmen et le Président de Shell en Turquie Ahmet Erdem, ainsi que par un grand groupe d’invités.

Composé de 105 photographies en noir et blanc imprimées avec une technique d'archive et publié en turc et en anglais, le livre « Cette ville Istanbul » comporte trois sections; «Le temps», «La mer» et «L’homme». Quarante photos sélectionnées depuis l’ouvrage « Cette ville Istanbul » seront présentées tout le mois à l’exposition.

Photographer Tahsin Aydogmus commented that he was very pleased to see “This City of Istanbul” photographs being exhibited at an unusual location like Atatürk Airport International Terminal. Aydogmus said "Exhibition of the photographs at TAV Gallery created the opportunity for people across the world to view them at an international platform” and highlighted that Istanbul, in any case, has many international features with its spirit and location. Adding that he has been receiving so many phone calls every day since the exhibition was opened and says that the most unexpected call came from Steve McCurry, renowned by his photograph “Afghani Girl”.

*Passing by Istanbul Atatürk Airport, Steve McCurry, the photographer renowned by its photograph “Afghani Girl” personally called the artist Tahsin Aydogmus and told him that he had a chance to visit “This City of Istanbul” exhibition at TAV Gallery twice and liked it very much.
